What Causes Holiday Stress?
Financial Strain: The holiday season often comes with increased expenses, from gifts to decorations and special meals. Balancing a festive celebration with a budget can be a significant source of stress.
Loneliness: For those who are away from loved ones or feeling isolated, the holidays can be a particularly challenging time.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): The shorter days and colder weather during the holidays can trigger SAD, a type of depression that can cause symptoms like fatigue, sadness, and irritability. SAD can happen during the summer or winter months, but is much more common in the winter.
