Group Exercise Classes at the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA

Join us for a variety of workouts or slip on your swimsuit and try a water fitness class. Classes include Cycling, Yoga, Boot Camp, Pilates, Functional Interval Training, Step Aerobics, Stability Ball, and many more. No need to pre-register, just arrive a few minutes before class to participate. All classes are FREE with a YMCA membership!

 

 

Cardio Classes

Cycle HIIT

High-Intensity Interval Training that utilizes a stationary bike to achieve max cardio output. Work smarter, not longer, during this 30-minute class. You are sure to achieve lasting results when you push past your comfort zone!

Cycling

Whatever your exercise level is, you can participate in ANY cycling class. Cycling is a popular alternative for cardiovascular training because it is a non-impact and efficient calorie-burning workout. For beginners, please plan on arriving 10 minutes prior to the class so the instructor can help get you properly set up on your bike.

Step

Steppers old and new will enjoy this moderately intense cardio workout. Beginner steppers are welcome; we are all here to have fun!

Total Body Conditioning

Total Body Conditioning (TBC) incorporates strength and cardio segments using various equipment for a total body workout. This class will keep you guessing with new moves and formats every time.

Silver Sneakers Classic

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.

 

Strength Classes

Boot Camp

A high-intensity workout that offers variety every time! Come challenge your cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, agility, and balance through motivating instruction and teamwork.

F.I.T.

Functional Interval Training (F.I.T.) is a strength-based class that is designed to build muscle while improving your body's ability to work efficiently as one unit.

LIFT

Let's LIFT heavy! This strength class will focus on total body free-weight movements. You will be challenged with less reps at a heavier weight in order to improve strength throughout your body.

 

Water Fitness

Deep Water Aerobics

This class is designed for people who feel comfortable in water over their heads and using an aqua jogger (flotation belt). We will concentrate on cardiovascular fitness and toning both the upper and lower body. This class is located in the deep end of the pool.

Shallow Water Aerobics

This class is a non-stop workout that promotes cardiovascular fitness while toning muscles and increasing flexibility. Enjoy the many benefits of water exercises including low impact and high resistance. Class is located in the shallow area of the pool. You do not need to know how to swim to participate.
