Group Exercise Classes at the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA
Join us for a variety of workouts or slip on your swimsuit and try a water fitness class. Classes include Cycling, Yoga, Boot Camp, Pilates, Functional Interval Training, Step Aerobics, Stability Ball, and many more. No need to pre-register, just arrive a few minutes before class to participate. All classes are FREE with a YMCA membership!
Cardio Classes
High-Intensity Interval Training that utilizes a stationary bike to achieve max cardio output. Work smarter, not longer, during this 30-minute class. You are sure to achieve lasting results when you push past your comfort zone!
Whatever your exercise level is, you can participate in ANY cycling class. Cycling is a popular alternative for cardiovascular training because it is a non-impact and efficient calorie-burning workout. For beginners, please plan on arriving 10 minutes prior to the class so the instructor can help get you properly set up on your bike.
Steppers old and new will enjoy this moderately intense cardio workout. Beginner steppers are welcome; we are all here to have fun!

The perfect mix of strength and cardio movements to maximize your workout! Every class is different and fully equipped with lots of energy. All fitness levels are welcome!
Total Body Conditioning (TBC) incorporates strength and cardio segments using various equipment for a total body workout. This class will keep you guessing with new moves and formats every time.

ForeverWell Classes (55+)
Whatever your exercise level is, you can participate in ANY cycling class. This class is designed for participants 55+ and can be a basic introduction to cycling if you have no experience. There will also be stretching towards the end of the class.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. *Note: no chair is used in this class.
This synergy circuit class is small group training based where we will do multiple different exercises rotating through exercises. This is for ANY exercise level and a class for 55+.

Strength Classes
A high-intensity workout that offers variety every time! Come challenge your cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, agility, and balance through motivating instruction and teamwork.
This class will blast all your muscles with a fun, energetic weight-training workout. Using a variety of strength equipment, this workout combines high-rep weight training moves with dynamic music to make you sweat and push to a personal best.

This class will utilize the TRX which is the original suspension trainer that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform many different exercises. Intensity is added through HIIT moves that will be sure to give you a total body strength and cardiovascular workout.
Water Fitness
This class is designed for people who feel comfortable in water over their heads and using an aqua jogger (flotation belt). We will concentrate on cardiovascular fitness and toning both the upper and lower body. This class is located in the deep end of the pool.
This class is a non-stop workout that promotes cardiovascular fitness while toning muscles and increasing flexibility. Enjoy the many benefits of water exercises including low impact and high resistance. Class is located in the shallow area of the pool. You do not need to know how to swim to participate.
