The Board of Directors of the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA is pleased to announce that Missy Fike has been appointed as Interim CEO. Fike, who served as the Y’s Senior Director of Wellness & Outreach, brings extensive experience in the health and wellness industry and a deep commitment to the Y’s mission of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Fike joined the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA in July 2021, bringing over 15 years of leadership experience in the health and wellness field. Throughout her tenure, she has played a key role in expanding wellness programs, fostering community partnerships, and enhancing outreach initiatives. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing the Y’s commitment to serving individuals and families across the region.

“I am honored to step into the Interim CEO role,” said Fike. “The YMCA is an organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community, and I am excited to continue supporting programs that empower individuals, families, and communities to thrive. I look forward to working alongside our staff, volunteers, and members to build on the Y’s legacy of service and impact.”

“The Board of Directors is confident in Missy’s leadership during this transition period,” Mary Jo de Cathelineau, Chair of the YMCA Board of Directors, stated. “Missy’s passion for health and wellness, combined with her strong leadership skills, make her the ideal choice to lead the Y during this time. We look forward to working with her as we continue to serve our community and move the organization forward.”

The Board is focusing on establishing an operational priorities plan and will provide updates on a future search for a permanent CEO.
