Kandiyohi County Family YMCA

Volunteers

The YMCA is community driven and volunteer led.  Volunteers are the backbone of the YMCA.  From the first YMCA formed in 1844 to today's modern Y's, volunteers are essential to what we do.

Volunteering at the YMCA gives the volunteer an opportunity to give to the community, learn new skills, grow personally, and meet new friends.

Volunteers allow us to expand our services and further our mission.  All potential volunteers must complete a volunteer application available at the Front Desk or on our website.  All Volunteers receive appropriate training, based on their volunteer position.

Volunteer Opportunities are generally available in the following areas:
Janitorial
Child Watch
Front Desk
Youth Sports
Wellness Center

Volunteers are essential to ensuring the YMCA achieves it's mission.

We conduct Criminal Background Checks on all volunteers.  Contact Karla Nelson at 320-222-9622 or karlan@kandiymca.org
if you are interested in becoming a Y Volunteer!
